If you want to avoid crowds March a great time of year to travel to Dubrovnik however some sites in the Old City were still closed and because of rain it was difficult to get to Lokrum and to walk the city walls. I would recommend booking a day trip or two (for example to Montenegro) if you are staying for longer than a week. I dined in lots of different places and the food was great although a little expensive however if you want to keep costs down and don't feel like cooking there is a great variety of local dishes to take out from the hot food counter in TOMMY supermarket close to the hotel.

wonderful old town - perfect for a 2-3 day city break. quiet in March so we had the city walls, museums and art galleries to ourselves. Some restaurants were closed and some opening hours of sights reduced. There were no boat trips to the islands. recommend starting with walking around the walls - the maritime museum on the walls well worth a visit. Then explore the old town. We took the cable car up to Mount Srd on our last day. The Homeland War Museum is quite harrowing but important. We found everyone in Dubrovnik very polite and helpful including in the restaurants.

If you do anything in Dubrovnik - make sure you see that wall. It's 35 euros, but that's honestly all you need to see/do in Dubrovnik - unless you enjoy museums and other stuff, but I'm pretty sure 90% of people visiting are coming because of Game of Thrones.
People are nice and helpful.
Food is OK - depends on your palete.
Prices are inflated - food will cost you at least 25 euro/meal
Not everywhere accepts card, so walk with cash just in case.
Weather was great - 18 degrees Celsius in March
Town is quite hilly so bring comfortable shoes
Looooads of cats for some reason, so if you have allergies, be cautious.

Excellent destination at world heritage site on a quite affordable price range for the location. Still. There are numerous places for dining. Public and taxi transport available at good prices without no significant delays.
If plan is to visit it at peak season then be prepared for congestions due to high interest any many visitors at town and its surroundings.

The city has an identity, it has a character, proud, beautiful, smart, cosy and homey at the same time. We visited off-season, and that was the best treat we could have given to ourselves. I would also suggest taking a proper guided tour with a proper tour guide. It is important to understand the history, particularly the Dubrovnik Republic and the recent Dubrovnik siege is very deep and teaches us all about the real-life values, the idiocy of individualism, and wealth of sharing and carrying about your community.

I liked the city very much, it's incredibly, beautiful historical place with views, restaurants, beaches. There is a lot to visit and see. But, as all tourist cities, Dubrovnik is pretty expensive, so, you need to be prepared for it.
I think, I'll come back to Dubrovnik some day.
Milo was the absolute best! From the ease of arranging the airport transportation to a wonderful greeting of a cool beverage, Milo was like family in an instant! The location to Old Town and the City walls was perfect for me. I could get there in a short walk. I loved and appreciated the hospitality and wonderful conversations during breakfast. The breakfast was plentiful and such a wide variety to choose from. The room was spacious and the bed was so comfy! When I come back to Dubrovnik, I will be contacting Milo!
This place is just amazing! Pristine clean, cozy, with all the amenities you could possibly imagine, the furniture is brand new, bed is spacious and extremely comfortable, there is a big, beautiful terrace with great view of the surrounding hills.
The place is located within 10 minute drive from the main entrance to the Old Town.
Host is great, responds immediately and is very kind!
I think, this is best value/price place you could find in Dubrovnik, im booking this again next time!
Highly recommended!
Nothing more could be added to what has already been said about the apartment: 5 star +.
The inclusion of a couple of sun lounges would have been nice though as a few hours in the day were spent enjoying the superb vista.
For us, the best way to Dubrovnik Old Town was via the steps on `PUT OD BOSANKE` - just across from the taxi rank at the entrance to the town. After every 2nd step there`s a 2mtr long flat part that allows you to take a breather.....or to step aside for younger ones to overtake!
Located away from the crowds- very private boutique hotel. Excellent professional customer service from start to finish! VIP !!! Delicious complimentary breakfast which is served by staff. Great views, close to the beach, 15 minute walk to old town or you can take the city bus. Recommend walking to old town and catching bus back. Convenience store located close by and restaurants located near via Uber (cost $6.00 Euros) One of the best hotel experiences ever at a reasonable price!
The hotel is a converted grand villa / palace from the 16th century.
It has been painstakingly restored to a high standard retaining many original features, the interior has a classic modernist twist.
It features beautiful gardens, and outdoor pool and hot tub with uninterrupted views of the Adriatic coast.
Rooms are spacious and well appointed.
Breakfast was enjoyable with lots of options so long as you like eggs.
The old town of Dubrovnik is only a 15 minute walk.
Lovely hotel with two big pools. Note the outdoor pool is not heated (so freezing!). Nice room with sunny balcony and really quiet at night (best sleep ever!). Booking came with breakfast and dinner both of which were buffet style with a ton of choices - definitely recommend! Also running route by the hotel and quick access to the beach. The Old Town is a quick bus/taxi ride away or even walking (longish walk but nice if you like to be outdoors and active).
Alto rooms is an exceptional experience. Very clean, comfy, equipped with everything you need. The apartment is like 5 stars hotel, clean and new, with a great view to the city and most beautiful sunsets. Drago was very attentive and helpful in everything. Special thank you for making an upgrade for my stay! I can’t imagine better place to stay in Dubrovnik and definitely will come back there again.
Exceptional hotel with everything on offer. The views of the ocean were outstanding, with special views of the sunset every night. Lots of pool areas to choose from with plenty of sunbeds available every day. The location was perfect with a short stroll into town with great choice of bars and restaurants. Also there is a bus nearby to transport you into the Old Town of Dubrovnik which is a must see
Hotel Lero is very convenient to explore the Old Town in Dubrovnik, there's even a short ride on a local bus (#4) to it.
The pool is wonderful and gets sun almost all day. My room was cleaned every day, and breakfast was good. The staff perhaps needs a bit more training there but the front desk people were very good and spoke very good English.
All and all, a good experience and a good value.
Everything as it’s brand new. The bed was as good as any 5 star hotel. Super easy to get to the Old town as there is a bus stop right across the road. Also a supermarket. Highly Recommend it.
The only issue Is google maps doesn’t recognise it as it’s a brand new development but if you put in “ The Fairy s Cave “ that apartment is in the same complex and will take you right there
Nice modern hotel, well situated outside Dubrovnik old town. Our room was spacious, with a small balcony and sea view. The bed was a king size one. Breakfast was good, typical European. Location was really good, around 20-30 min walk from the Old Town. Make sure you reserve a parking place in the garage (15€ per day), because the free outdoor one can easily get full.
We stayed in a 2 bedroom apartment looking at the sea, it was spectacular. Very friendly staff, very willing to help with our requests. Several restaurants on site, the one we ate at was delicious. Our stay was very short here but I would come back to this hotel for sure when staying in Dubrovnik if you want to be out of old town.
The Art Hotel is in a fantastic location on the Promenade in Lapad, about 10 minutes from the old town of Dubrovnik. There are fantastic restaurants, views, a beach, water access and cafe's in the area and it's much quieter. The staff was very kind, responsive providing restaurant recommendations, new pillow options, etc.
It was great to be back in my beloved Dubrovnik.Hotel More was amazing in every sense, facilities, room, restaurant , beach everything was 5 star.I am sure to be be back in Hotel in More in a very near future
Thank you to the management and staff of Hotel More which made my friends reunion even more special
It is excellent hotel. I had birthday and they gave me birthday cake on breakfast. It was cute. Also I visited casino in the hotel and was alone there))) Perfect view on the sea from the balcony, all clean, helpful stuff. I like that hotel more than others 5 stars hotels in Dubrovnik.
This is a brand new (or quasi brand new) hotel. Our room is very spacious and clean. The hotel is well located to visit not only the old town but also other parts of Dubrovnik. The breakfast is excellent. We very much enjoyed our stay here!
Great location 10mn walk from the old town. Quiet residential safe neighborhood. Free parking. Best view of the old town of Dubrovnik from the large balcony. Spacious room with kitchenette. Great owners.
Very nice hotel. Perfect to visit Old town of Dubrovnik. A bus is just few minutes away and it s very practical to go the old town.
The room are very nice and the swimming is great.
The best views of Dubrovnik from your room, and still very close to the old town. Private parking. Amazing breakfast outside looking to old Dubrovnik. The staff is great.
