Barcelona is a beautiful city, many places are like a strawberry cream cake. Interesting architecture combined with old-town narrow streets and callejuelas. A church here, another there makes it very interesting.

Very hard to sum up Barcelona in a few words.

Very hard to sum up Barcelona in a few words. We keep coming back! It's certainly an assault on the senses and emotions....mostly in a good way! We enjoyed staying near the sea, as the city centre might be a bit overwhelming for some. However we loved exploring the Barrio Gothik right in the centre and playing pool at a great joint called Peccera de Pool. Some fantastic eating and drinking experiences all around! La Rambla is fun, Segrada Familia extraordinary and beautiful. A very quirky, imaginative city. Riding a cable car over Montjuic was exhilarating, and the Metro is easy to use. We also enjoyed visiting Tibidabo way above the city with its pretty double decker basilica, funfair and lovely cafe/bar. Another easy daytrip from Barcelona is Montserrat- stunning rock formations and hiking trails with monastery nestled in between. You need to have your wits about you, driving round Barcelona. Not enough signposts we found, especially then our phones failed to pick up any wifi when driving around. We had to log into each venue's wifi- this seems to be a recent Spanish problem. It was very difficult navigating to our second hotel due to all the one-way systems and lack of signs. We saw evidence of theatres, flamenco shows, concerts, all sorts of entertainment, for a future visit. Also Park Guell, with Gaudi's crazy designs, and his Casa Bata are worth a visit for surreal experiences. Barcelona is a creative "people vibe" place. We'll be back!

Great city!!! But so many tourists! Try to avoid going in peak season Gaudi's stuff is incredible. But make sure you pre-book everything. Hop on hop off buses are useful to see the city- use the touristica/local line- they give discounts at various tourist sites and always seemed less crowded.

Beautiful city, but way too busy during summer. I'd defenitely remmond for those who wnats a summer beach break. I felt everything was overpriced for Barcelona standard. (food, drinks and services) Be ready to buy more than one ticket for ny turism attraction. After you buy one ticket to get access to the attracation, you'll find out must buy other TICKETS to see the whole thing.

It was good, a city that I can visit once a lifetime, for going back is a maybe. Visiting museums and the famous neighbors was a good experience, but not as much as expected. One thing that bothered me was that it is overpriced and not worth the money spent, not just on food but also on museums and other "second-hand" activities. From all the "stereotypes" online, it was good. I was prepared for pickpockets or robbers, but I didn't see any of them. I don't know for the marihuana law there, but every 5 minutes of walking, you could smell that, it was just too much.

Excellent position of the hotel for sightseeing, in a side street of La Rambla, a minute away from a subway station. Although the hotel is in the quarter Raval and there's street prostitution around the corner, you should not be afraid. Inside the hotel there's a green courtyard, perfect meeting point, when you travel with groups. And an oasis compared with the noisy streets outside. You will have problems to find a better hotel of this quality and this cheap prize in the city centre of Barcelona.

A great stay in Barcelona. The hotel staff was friendly and courteous, it made our stay easier on the day the electricity was turned off all over Spain. Especially helpful and kind was Mr. Ludwik The hotel is clean, well maintained and comfortable. The rooftop pool looks great, although due to an intense vs. short trip we did not have time to use it. The neighborhood is safe both day and night, close to the beach, which is not as populated as Barceloneta.

The hotel was clean, and the service was very nice, with staff always ready to assist. The location was excellent, making it easy to explore the city center, with just a 4-minute walk to metro line 4, which takes you to the main shopping street and cathedral area. It was good value for the price, especially considering that Barcelona is a very touristic city where hotel prices are pretty high during peak season. I would consider staying here again.

Perfect bed withthe best pillons ever and we were pleasantly surprised that our room had a balcony too. Best hotel I've tried so far in Barca, perfect for a short stay or a long stay, ideal location just 10min walk from Passeig de Gracia and overall walking distance to the city center, but in a safe and clean part of Barcelona.
